I Love Nicki Minaj universal-music.de/nicki-minaj/ the Pop star who mentioned on a talk show that she was a Trini Girl!!! what is that ?
Well it means she is from the island of Trinidad and Tobago so today it’s all about the Trinidadian “Merles” Trinidad-Cuisine located in Berlin‘s Multi Cultural district of Kreuzberg!!!!!Well I was exicited since I love the carribean cuisine.so on this evening I decided with friends on a reallly nice warm evening to sat outside and enjoy A berlin summer evening !!!!we started with drinks a Rum Punch, Carib Beer and Ginger ale and just relaxed and chilled out !!!albeit not the most interesting corner of Berlin but we were in good spirits and listening to the Caribbean music put us in a good mood!!! and with the friendly and warm service, I thought I was in the right place for the evening!!!So we decided on our order I had small fish Cake called “Accra” that was spicy and delicate with herbs ,onions and slightly fried this dish included a small spicy pepper paste that really enhanced the dish.

I was a little sad since I liked the dish however the portion was small !but it made me want more which is always a good sign!
so we chatted and enjoyed the colorful atmosphere of the restaurant!!! granted it’s never about the décor!!!but the cuisine !!!!!!oh well we finally received our roti meals I ordered my roti bread ,with potatoes and chick peas,my friends with curried chicken,and the other with stewed shrimps!!!!
My roti with potatoes and chick peas was good even though the peas were not as tender as they should have been but was spiced well!!!!the chicken curry I must applaud was quite good and I was envious of my table partner since I really felt she won the prize of the meals that evening!!!!The Roti dish you generally eat with the hands and that’s what I love so much eating Roti it’s with the hands !!!The dinner here was good the service friendly!!!! the rum punch brutally good!!!we had a good time it’s a nice place so when in the mood for a little Caribbean fanfare “Merles”Trinidad-Cuisine is the place in Berlin for a little caribbean cuisine!!!!!!

p.s. The were ok I paid 17 euro and this included my drinks an appetizer and my main course!!
