I had the task few days ago to find a dress for an actress for the Goldene Henne which is a TV Prize Show here in Germany was presented live in Berlin at the Potsdamer Platz and was attended by German Celebrities and Political Dignitaries !!!! I must say the task was difficult because we had no idea that the actress was so difficult and would make my days a living hell and did not have a clue to Style!!!! but hey that’s fashion right??? divas and attitude!!!!been there done that
I guess by now I would be ready for Anna Wintour any day !!!!After looking at the traditional companies like Valentino,Armani, Jil Sander , and MaxMara I decided to go off to Berlin Designers and see what they were doing and I did find a few things that I really adored!!!! I realized traveling off the the beaten track you definitely will find a few things in Berlin that are unique!!!! there is tons of talent here!! you just have to investigate which is what this boy had to do and found in Berlin Charlottenburg district close to the wonderful Savingyplatz area !!!! I investigated and dissected the designs from Nana- Kuckuck !!!!! granted the designs are a little over the top but hey that is fashion!!!! this designer who really designs one of a kind designs for those red carpet moments!!! at times some of the silhouettes reminded me of Emanuel Ungaro one of my ultimate old time favorite designers!!!!or Hanae Mori !!!! draping is her thing and she does this so well!!!! and she is not light on color either she is for the woman who says Hell!!! its red carpet!!!! !!the designer herself a vibrant positive designer who really excited me made me a believer in her over the top dresses!!!!! I again say yes it can be a little over the top especially for those special evenings when you have to be your most grandest!!!!Nana-Kuckuck is a place to start its fun, attitude,it’s energy!!!Long Live Haute Couture in Berlin which granted has a long way to go but with the help of the talent here in Berlin they are on the right way!!!!
