I never think about British food that much especially when in Berlin but I am a Big Fan of British Scones !!! So when I Discovered this Restaurant Cafe in Berlin‘s very urban district of Kreuzberg!!! I decided I had to visit the place!!! God Save Brit Food East London!!! the name was quirky enough to entice me to try the place out!!! The Restaurant Cafe is a mix of modern and still relaxed décor, I was a little surprised about the place because it was warm and inviting without being dowdy!!!
The bright Colors at the Door front really enticed me!!!So I decided with a friend to do what else?? late afternoon Tea!!!! but since I am not a Tea drinker we decided on Cafe for me and Tee for my pal with our sweets .Since the place offers Breakfast I would recommend if your near by to check this place out I mean if you have ever had an English Breakfast you know that the English Breakfast can be pretty hearty but good!!!
Well we decided to relax and enjoy the atmosphere a mixture of Wood, Brick ,and White Furniture I must admit weird at first glance!! but it works and it has a comfy ,homey kind of feeling!!!!
We decided upon Scones and Blueberry Cheesecake with our Tea and Cafe Latte!!! my buddy and I just relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere which was young and urban!!!and we just relaxed!!!! lately I have looking for places that are really relaxed, a nice decor but still relaxed!!!!! I mean I work in the fashion industry so too much attitude is just a little too much for me!!!!
Well the Cake from my Buddy was good and his tea was quite grand he was pleased as well so he was delighted and the large tea cups were a delight!!! to see!!!
As for my scones and I have had many in my day!!!!! I have done often in London Tea Time with Scones in London at the Hempel or even at the Savoy Hotel so for me I was delighted to have Scones in Berlin and I believe I will do it again at god save brit food !!!
So after relaxing and just enjoying the cool, urban but friendly staff that was a plus in my book, because children we are in Berlin and service can be shabby!!! I was truly happy!!! I felt so comfy that I recommended to my pal to have a glass of Sparkling White wine Which we ordered and decided to enjoy the late afternoon just one more time since I am the Champagne Boy!!!!Well after having our drinks we looked over the Menu and it had a pretty diverse Menu so that one could eat from Morning till evening and never get bored!!!!The Menu included things such as Hamburgers but also offered Beans ,Fries and salads I mean its good ole comfort food in my eyes!!!
So after paying the invoice of roughly 18 Euro we departed giggly but in a good mood !!! and really enjoyed this place I will return to check out the Evening Menu!!
