I love German and Austrian cuisine !! I literally call this Cuisine German Soul Food!!!
Why? Because it’s Hearty,Tasty,and Reminds me oh Home Cooking by my late Grandmother!!!!
This Restaurant located on the very Busy Bergmannstrasse in the Kreuzberg district.
We decided to have dinner here since it is the Holidays Season and why not traditional Austrian and German fanfare.We went into this rustic restaurant where one feels automatically like one is in the Austrian or Bavarian country side.Decorated in old Vintage Photos and Rustic Furniture.
The restaurant is totally a comfy place where one will feel totally at home.
After being seated we decided on having a mixed salad, with a Cabbage Strudel for my date and for myself a Duck with the traditional “Knoedel Dumpling” and a side order of Gruenkohl “Collard Greens” the collard greens are served with a little bit of meat and broth which gives it a strong and unique but great taste it literally took me back home.
The meal was quite large but very good and traditional, well seasoned and truly good home fanfare.The Strudel on the other side even though a traditional recipe the Red Sauerkraut still brought
a unique modern edge to this traditional recipe!!!!
We stayed at Austria pretty long and had a nice relaxed evening. We had bottled water and beer.
The meal cost roughly 40 euro we had a nice time and you know what!!! here I will visit when taking my american friends for some traditional fanfare in berlin!!!!!
