A unique way to Discover Berlin with a “Bike Taxi Tour”

I decided to be a tourist and take a short bike tour of the city with one of the Bike Taxi guides. They are all over Berlin but mainly at the tourists attractions such as Checkpoint Charlie,Brandenburg Gate,or in front of the main entrances of Fine Department stores such  as Galeries Lafayette or KaDeWe .I Paid 8 Euro for a quick ride that was a quick cultural fix about 15 minutes to be exact.During my quick tour which started at Alexanderplatz and ended at The Gendarmenmarkt Square where the German Architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel built the impressive Concert Hall “Konzerthaus” and is surrounded by the impressive German and French Cathedrals . The location is in my opinion one of the most beautiful spots in Berlin.During his bike tour I took in the sights of the Berlin Dome,The Museum Insel,The Monument that has the world renowned sculpture entitled Pietà, from The German artist Käthe Kollwitz and The Construction Sights of the Staats Opera House and the Berlin Palace that is being rebuilt after it’s demolishment by the former East German government.

Seeing Berlin through this perspective makes the city even more exciting and vibrant.I was happy that I had such a cool taxi driver who gave me a few insights into the monuments and locations that we passed which makes such small experiences so much more fun. This small treat is for anyone wanting to get around after a long day and still want to see some of the sights that this city has to offer.Naturally you can take a longer tour but whatever you do take Berlin By a Bike Tour.

Love Sean
