Well this morning Berlin got a Little Chanel Glamour this morning that I am sure would make Coco Chanel herself smile!!! today was the opening of an Exhibition executed from Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld and the renowned French Vogue Editor Carine Roitfeld entitled the The Little Black Jacket!It’s a homage to the Classic Chanel Boucle Jacket!!!Various Photographs from glam folks from The Music, Film, and Fashion industry and their Take on the Classic Chanel Jacket and some were able to really redefine the Jacket in their own Way!!!Which made the exhibition really inspirational I had a conversation a few days ago with a TV presenter and who proclaimed how dreadful the Boucle Chanel jacket is!!!! Well the exhibit shows you just how fierce the classic Chanel jacket can be !!!it’s about ones own energy and creativity when they put on a outfit!!!!The Photos in black and white are at times both original and fun and at other times poetic or simply urban and up to date !!! I loved the Natural way
Lauren Hutton styled her look or the way that Lagerfeld’s muse the model Baptiste Giabiconi and the artist Kanye West wore their jackets both were original ,sexy,and yes still masculine !!!!so Chanel jackets are for guys as well!!!who knew!!!Naturally Claudia Schiffer and Ines de la Fressange are a part of the exhibit but I loved the Yoko Ono portraits and installation it was not the usual Fashion Portrait . This exhibit is about Art, Design, and lifestyle today!!! It was truly a creative way too see the classic The Little Black Jacket in a new and inspiring way!!!!!I loved it!!!so take a visit to the PotsdamerPlatz in Berlin‘s Mitte District
P.S. The admission is free so even for those of us on a budget we can still go!!!!!!!
