Urban Lolita_The New Fashion Icon?Urban Lolita_The New Fashion Icon?

This time our fashion editorial is not inspired by a fashion icon, but by a literary figure invented by Vladimir Nabokov: the irresistible Lolita. Tender and turbid, innocent and malicious, continues to perturb, scandalize and move generations of readers.

Nabokov lived in Berlin from 1922 to 1937. Maybe some inspiration for his novel was found right there. Who could say ?

However, we have tried to imagine a contemporary Berlin Lolita, a sulky teenager of a extraordinary beauty, a bit androgynous, who plays to seduce an invisible professor Hubert. In her luxurious apartment our Lolita is wearing an awesome skinny gray-green leather pants by and a fabulous black bouclé wool Jacket by Patrizia Pepe
Tara Jarmon, with ¾ sleeves ending in a leather hand glove detail (would work well for any Grande Dame at the Vienna Opera Ball!). Nothing underneath except some fierce body hugging Leather jeans from Patrizia Pepe
Patrizia Pepe. The indispensable touch of color can be added by a foulard worn as a belt from
Vero Moda. The waistline is a great way to variate your jacket’s optic. The look is versatile it can achieve a sexy or tough optic, if combined respectively with pink high heels or black policeman boots from
Cos as shown. Later our Lolita combines the
Tara Jarmon Jacket with sportive pieces from
Ralph Lauren Jeans,
Adidas and
Converse sneakers with the drop dead vintage fashion bag from Jil Sander.

Lolita is embodied by Alexandra, a beautiful and talented girl whom we discovered in the countywide around Neureuppin. She is endowed with a lot of irony and practical sense. This was her first engagement as a model. Good luck Alexita, we wish you a long career in fashion!

Buona fortuna Lolalex!
