Peter Lindenbergh.I have loved his iconic pictures from the 80s
remember the it girls back then Helene Christensen,Naomi,Christy and who could forget the unforgettable Linda Evangelista diva par excellence well they are all here too see as well as numerous others such as Tilda Swindon and the Iconic Verushka.The intersting thing about his work is that he has truly some memorable photos in black and white it also reminds one of those fantastic silent movie stills that nevertheless never feel outdated!!!!!
The building a former Post office with its Neo Classic Renaissance exterior and beautful details is one of those buildings inBerlin that one knows and cannot forget!!!The reason why I adore this early renaissance architectural structure built in red brick with red and blue ornaments that was initially built in 1713 and later enhanced by Carl Schwatlo between 1875 und 1881 is a special building to me why?because it has a fabulous history of the past the interiors were basically left alone and so it has that run down interior but still it is sooooo!!!!unique, really this is one of my favorite spaces in
Berlin and when they leave due to the new owners who want to build a Hotel on the premises the doors will close!!!!!
again to CO Berlin I will not say goodbye but I will say until I am granted the honor to see beautiful images through your eyes!!!adieu Love seanBevor die Türen von CO Berlin endgültig geschlossen werden, besuchte ich die aktuelle Fotoausstellung, die der zeitgenössischen Fotografie gewidmet ist. Vor ein paar Wochen bin ich mit einem meiner Personal Shopper Kunden in die Peter LindenberghAusstellung gegangen und ich war fasziniert von den Aufnahmen der großen Ikonen der 80er. Erinnert Euch nur an die IT-Girls dieser Zeit wie Helena Christensen, Naomi Campbell oder Christy und wer könnte die unbeschreibliche Linda Evangelista vergessen – die Diva par excellence? Nun, sie alle und zahlreiche andere wie z.B. Tilda Swinton und die Ikone Verushka. Da sind hier zu sehen.Lindbergh´s fantastischen schwarz/weiß Fotos erinnern mich an die Art von Stummfilmen, die auch nie aus der Mode kommen.
Das ehemalige kaiserliche Postfuhramt mit seiner neo-klassizistischen Aussenseite (Fassade) und schönen Details, ist eines der Bauwerke inBerlin, welches alle kennen und nicht vergessen können.Ich mag sehr dieses Gebäude, welches von Carl Schwatlo zwischen 1875 und 1881 errichtet wurde wegen seinem morbiden Charme, überall kann man den Geist der Vergangenheit noch spüren. Es ist soooo fabelhaft – dieser Platz ist einer meiner Lieblingsorte inBerlin.
Demnächst wird es einen neuen Besitzer geben, der daraus ein Hotel machen wird und dann gehen die Museumstüren endgültig zu. Dennoch CO Berlin ich werde nicht „goodbye“ sagen, doch bis ich die Ehre habe schöne Bilder durch Eure Augen zu sehen – Adieu! In Love Sean
