!!! Moroccan Cuisine at Kasbah in Berlin Mitte!!!

Kasbah-Berlin!!!!!a little exoticism in Berlin ala’ Moroccan Style !!!!!I was in the mood for something a little different and since we had snow in Berlin I needed a little spice therefore !!!!Kasbah-Berlin was the choice
located inBerlin‘s very hip Mitte district you are never sure what your going to get service wise but surprise surprise!!!!!!!!

The staff were friendly and easy going and in Berlin that’s not always the case so I was already !!warming up to the place !!as expected the décor reminded one a little of what a restaurant in Morocco would look like naturally tons of Moroccan furniture with colorful pillows in velvet ,hanging lamps
mosaic tables and a very romantic dimly lit atmosphere with colorful walls in yellow and red tones!!!!The atmosphere was exotic and comfy, what caught my eye was a corner table!!! where I chose a rounded table with a seating that included velvet pillows so that I could relax myself and with this very easy going atmosphere we decided to order drinks my partner had a beer and I decided on a milkshake with almonds which I never had before but which I absolutely fell in love with creamy healthy and really filling it was a great alternative to my normal bubbly glasses of champagne!!!We finally decided on our meals but before all that was brought to our tables we were brought towels, a tin kettle with warm water and a bowl to wash our hands friends I must say that such little things I truly do adore !!I mean little things really do mean a lot!!!! so now we were ready to dine so I chose a carrot salad and my partner
had dough filled pastries with diverse fillings which included cheese, lamb, and chicken both starters were light, well seasoned, with fresh herbs and were perfect as starters. Both starters included a small green salad!!!!for our main courses I decided on fish that evening and my partner on the Tajin chicken which is a true Moroccan specialty!!!and I had Tuna fish with shrimps!!!!
first the Tajin Chicken was really incredible tender and well seasoned this dish with potatoes and herbs was well prepared and truly gave one an indication of how fab!!! the Moroccan cuisine really is!!I was not only surprised about the taste but was sorry that I did not order the same dish myself!!!!Well my Fish even though good was not as divine as the chicken, the fish was smothered in a very well and tasteful dark sauce which made the tuna fish tender but still the dish was not perfect and after having tried the Tajin Chicken I was truly envious!!!!
overall the taste was good however I find cooking tuna fish is one of the hardest things to do because it can be quite dry and a little too firm when not done correctly!!!
However my couscous a true Moroccan tradition was light and perfect so I was then happy that even though my fish was not perfect my couscous made up for my fish!!!!
I was relaxed and my partner was truly satisfied!!!!!We had a good time at this restaurant and after been given some tea!!!! we were just happy to have had a nice evening!!!! it’s a nice place for a good
meal when your looking for something exotic such as the Moroccan cuisine or just a good vegetarian meal with some awesome Cous Cous!!!!I personally liked this place true its not overtly fashionable but its cute!!! and when your not sure where to go and what to do? then try out Kasbah-Berlin!!!!!!!

P.S. My date for the evening had a Moroccan wine and was quite surprised and delighted from the quality and price!!!!The Kasbah_Berlin is not inexpensive but the prices are still really fair !!!!for two we paid roughly 50 Euro !!!

Love Sean
