African Cuisine is not something I am familiar with so when my Gal Pal Bettina called to dine out at a Ethiopian Restaurant called Bejte – Ethiopia I was intrigued!!!I love to eat!!!that is the truth, therefore I have to be really careful so on one of those hot evenings here in BerlinBerlin we headed off to this restaurant located in Berlin’s Schoenberg district!!!I was pleasantly surprised about this place!!!So in we went in with my gal pal!!!Bettina and we were introduced to another cuisine that truly I was not familiar with but that I fell in love with the dishes we hadIt was warm and I was in a good mood !!!! so i decided on a martini on the terrace where we sat and just enjoyed the warm sunny evening in Berlin the atmosphere was friendly people just chilling and relaxing!!!!my gal pal decided on a tea!!and finally we relaxed and decided to chat and enjoy this exotic venue with it’s soft mellow music and vibrant colors this location had a feeling of being on a little vacation in Berlin!!!

Well after finally deciding on our meal!! We decided on sharing a vegetarian platter of various curried bean and Eggplant puree that one ate with the hands accompanied with a slighlty thin and moist thin bread how divine and exotic!! the vegetables were spicy and good and mixed with the fairly cool bread made for a delightful and interesting new dish especially on a hot evening such as the one I had!!!our pal Willi decided on a beef strips dish mixed in a light sauce which was a good alternative when one prefers something a little hearty !!!!I decided to go inside since I had been sitting outside on the terrace and the restaurant itself was a fabulous mix of traditional Ethiopian fanfare, with a delicate burning incense gave the place an incredible and unique atmosphere!!!!The food was good and the service friendly and welcoming so I must give them a thumbs up on that!!!!The food is not for everyone but if you are interested in trying a new cuisine then try out Bejte – Ethiopia which I am sure you will remember I certainly have !!!!

P.S. Since I love my bubbly I was a little disappointed since there was no Prosecco or Champagne I had to do with the brand Mumm ugghhh !!!!!and my Pal Willi indulged in the Ethiopian beer Meta refreshing and slightly sweet it’s an alternative when dining !!! !!
