I love my Champagne but every now and then I decide on a Cocktail and often it’s a Cosmopolitan !!!
Why a Cosmo you ask???!!!well hey it is a truly good drink when the bartender gets it right!!!
Last night my Buddy Martin who is a really cool guy gave me a call and said he wanted a break from his girlfriend for the Night so lets go out for a drink!!!!I said “well why the hell not”!!!!
I decided on the Victoria Bar located on the Potsdamerstrasse in Berlin it is not the elegant part of the Boulevard it’s actually a little seedy but still !! I chose this Bar with its Dark Window Facade where your not sure if the place is a Bar or Bordel which naturally would really tantalizes me!!
So inside in this nostalgic décor with its mix of Art Deco, and eclectic Murals .
I was sure the evening was going to be good !!!!Well during the evening we had some good music and at the same time an eclectic group of folks varied in age and in style which helps to make the place an interesting place to hang out!!!
So after having had my first Cosmo which was pretty heavy and my Pal having his Brandy I started talking to the very smart looking bartender!!! I must say they are smartly dressed in their white shirts and ties, so they not only look pretty smart but that gives the place a classy note!!!!He suggested a cocktail with Fresh Ginger MMMMM!! I thought sounds interesting and he promised that it would really be a pleasant surprise and with him being so open and friendly I was enticed to try it out !!!!!!!!!So I decided on the drink
the “Moscow Mule” a drink that really not only surprised me but I truly liked it even though a little lethal !!!so after that drink and conversing with my pal for some time we headed home I enjoy this place and I know I will return it’s
discreet,its fun,sexy and it has just enough panache in Berlin to make me want to return to Victoria Bar !!!!!and of course they do make a mean cocktail!!!!!
