Andreas Murkurdis Presents in Berlin Ferdinand Kramer Furniture

I was invited the other night to one of my favorite retail temples Andreas Murkurdis in Berlin‘s Schoeneberg district located a stones throw away from Potsdamer Platz and the amazing National Gallerie (SMB)
The location is unique because it’s in a relatively obscure location for a fashion store!! the main entrance of this Concept store is in the courtyard of the former headquarters of Berlin‘s News Paper Tagesspiegel I decided
to attend the opening of the German renowned Architect Ferdinand-Kramer‘s Furniture Collection in this Ultra Minimalistic and Modern Shop. Ferdinand Kramer was responsible for the New Construction of the Goethe University in Frankfurt which wad done after the second world war.
The architect had studied earlier in Germany and had designed his 1902’s inspired furniture before they were put in to production in the 50s!!! it is at this point his Furniture designs and talent came into the spotlight!!!The Murkurdis Shop presents these Modern Minimalistic Pieces that are being re- produced from the Furniture company e15E15!!! This is a true Eclectic High End Shopping Experience!!So The shop is exhibiting and selling pieces copied from the Architect and Furniture Designer. these included Various Furniture Pieces that are eclectic ,modern and sleek. Pieces that have exquisite finishings these are my friends are investment pieces !!! items that one will stand the test of time!!!!My favorite Items were the Cylinder Chair done in a Natural Wood tone ands then the same chair in a Blue Two Tone variation which was a limited edition version from the Designer Kostas Murkurdis I love the Blue tones and really wished I could buy the chair.
Do you remember those consoles from the 60’s and 70’s that concealed bars and stereos? well they had one as a sleek and modern bar this console was terribly gorgeous!!!!! it reminded me of a piece I saw in the Tom Ford film “A Single Man”!!!!The pieces are exquisite albeit a tad expensive but then again these items are investment pieces that one will have for years to come!!!The pieces are at the Andreas Murkurdis shop for a few weeks so go in and check it out and who knows you may find a piece to spruce up your digs !!!!!!!

Love!!!!
Sean
